Gilles Emond is currently Head of Public Real Estate & Finance at AG Real Estate, the subsidiary of the leading Belgian insurance company, AG Insurance (Ageas Group).
After having worked as an architect engineer for 10 years, he started at AG Real Estate in 1999, in charge of developing large projects including offices, retail and residential. He was also active on the Investment side in various European countries. In 2010 he set up the Scholen van Morgen programme, a large Public-Private Partnership for school construction in Flanders. From 2019 to 2022 he was responsible for Ageas’ real estate activities in Portugal. Back in Brussels since 2023, his main challenges are to combine a qualitative design and construction process with a robust financial structuring and to structure balanced partnerships between Public and Private actors.
