Transaction – The European Commission’s DG for Translation relocated to Covent Garden

It is confirmed: the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Translation will move from three buildings along the rue de Genève in Evere (numbers 1, 6 and 12) to the Covent Garden complex (2008) at 16, Place Rogier in St. Josse, where it will join several European agencies that are already located there. The building, designed by Art&Build and Montois Architects and owned by Hannover Leasing since 2014, offers some 72,500 m2 of office space and a large underground car park with 350 spaces. An interior garden connects the two buildings of 10 and 27 floors. Last November, the owner of the building had already announced that it had extended a leasing contract with the European Commission for 14,500 m2 that was due to expire in March 2022 until 2028.
