Transactions – AGC HQ at Louvain-la-Neuve sold to Savills IM

AGC Glass’ impressive European HQ in Louvain-la-Neuve has just been sold via Savills Investment Management and will be housed in one of its managed funds (AB Alternative Fund SICAV-SIF). The all-glass office building of 11,000 m2 on two levels, designed by architect Philippe Samyn and developed by Axa Belgium (2013), is located between the E411 motorway and the N4 motorway, just outside the city centre, at No. 4 Avenue Jean Monnet. The building is BREEAM certified and has almost 900 photovoltaic panels on the roof, with automatic solar control using movable glass louvres. It is occupied by AGC on a 15-year sale-and-leaseback basis. The transaction is worth around €35 million.
